Fashion Show news

January 2010

Dear Parents,

On Tuesday, April 13, 2010, we welcome you to "50 Years of Excellence”, Bishop Hendricken High School's thirty-sixth annual Fashion Show, to be held at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet.  The event is sponsored by the BHHS Parents’ Council and is attended by over 700 women.  Proceeds from the evening benefit the young men who attend this excellent college preparatory school, known for its strong academics and pursuit of excellence in all areas.

This year, at the Fashion Show, the women will again enjoy fine food, fabulous fashions and boutique shopping.  There will be vendors from the area representing various store fronts as well as cottage industries.  Throughout the evening, we will even learn some quick and easy fashion tips.  We are anticipating a delightful evening for all.

There will be only two options for making a donation to the Fashion Show this year.  First option, the classes will be preparing their "theme baskets", which will require donations.  (Please refer to enclosed information.) Each year the baskets contain an abundance of generous donations.  The second option involves placing a business ad or a personal ad for your Bishop Hendricken High School student.  In the past years, others have chosen to recognize their son's team or activity by means of an ad.

Additionally, we have enclosed a Program Booklet Sponsor Contract.   Business ads will be acknowledged with a receipt for tax purposes.  All personal ads and business ads will be recognized in our program book, which will be distributed to the 700 or more women guests that evening. Please do not hesitate to make copies of the enclosed form for your convenience.

To guarantee inclusion in the program booklet, all contracts must be received by March 1, 2010.  They can be mailed or brought directly to the school.  Please include "Attention: Fashion Show" on the front of the envelope. If you have any questions, please contact Jane Carter @ 739-3450, ext 263.  Also, if you are interested in being a vendor at the Fashion Show or know of anyone who would be, please contact Jacqueline Levesque (884-7572) jacqueline.home@juno.com.

Please, save the date of April 13, 2010 on your calendars so that you and your friends may take part in the memorable evening.  We thank you in advance for your support of Bishop Hendricken High School’s 36th annual Fashion Show.

Sincerely,

Cris Bolton & Martha Murray
