To receive an admissions brochure, kindly complete the "Request a Brochure" form or phone the Admissions Office at (401) 739.3450, ext. 162. The brochure includes the Admissions Application and Financial Aid application instructions.  The application may also be downloaded.

Application INSTRUCTIONS

The application is included in the brochure packet and should be submitted before January 1st. Mail the completed application and $25 application and exam registration fee. Checks are made payable to to Bishop Hendricken High School and are  mailed to: Bishop Hendricken High School | Admissions Office | 2615 Warwick Avenue | Warwick, RI 02889.

School Transcripts / Teacher Recommendations

The Admissions Office will request transcripts and teacher recommendations from your school after the entrance examination.  A parent/guardian transcript release form is included in the application.

Entrance Examination

The entrance exam will be held on Saturday, December 3rd at 8:30 a.m. A make-up exam will be held on Saturday, December 10th. Students applying to the 9th and 10th grades are required to take the High School Placement Test, HSPT. Applicants whose first choice school is Bishop Hendricken are strongly encouraged to take the exam at Bishop Hendricken.

Students applying for the 11th grade are not required to take the entrance exam. The Admissions Office will request the transcript information from their school.  The students are asked submit two letters of recommendation from their current teachers.

Notification of Admission

Students who complete the application process by January 1st will be considered among the first pool of applicants, and notification letters will be mailed on January 27th.  Admissions decisions are made on a space-available, rolling basis, beginning in January for the following September. Families are strongly encouraged to begin the admissions process in the fall preceding the desired year of enrollment.
