Summer Stage
For 10 years, Summer Stage at Bishop Hendricken has inspired artists and audiences of all ages. The cornerstone of Summer Stage is our professionally produced summer musical. Past seasons have showcased: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (2000), Grease (2001), West Side Story (2002), Anything Goes (2003), Seussical (2004), Aida (2005), The Music Man (2006), Lucky Stiff (2006), Songs For A New World (2007), The Wiremen (2007), and My Favorite Year (2008). In 2006, Summer Stage Workshop opened as a two- week theater program for middle school program. Working as an ensemble, the next generation of stars learn acting, improv, dance, and musical theater performance. The program concludes with a showcase performance of an originally written performance. This summer, Summer Stage celebrates its 10th Anniversary with the epic and acclaimed production of "Children of Eden" written by Stephen Schwartz (the writer of Broadway's Wicked and Godspell).
