Every Holy Thursday morning since 1975, the BHHS community has come together for our annual Hunger Walk.
Students, faculty, staff and friends of the school raised better than $13,000 for last year’s Walk, which supports agencies that seek to assist the poor and marginalized of our society, both locally and throughout the world.
On the day before the Hunger Walk, the campus ministry office hosts a “soup and cracker” lunch (the only item on the cafeteria menu), encouraging students to experience what it is like to go a little hungry. The cost of the soup is whatever amount that each student would like to give towards this cause.
The Hunger Walk on Holy Thursday starts with a prayer service at St. Kevin Church and a 10K walk through Warwick neighborhoods follows. Everyone is welcome to join in our Walk: moms and dads, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, etc. This year’s Hunger Walk will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2016.
Together, we show the world that at Bishop Hendricken, we don’t just talk the talk, we walk the Walk!!!
