Service Stars

Christian Service is an important part of both our mission and the experience of each student who graduates from Bishop Hendricken High School.

We are duly proud of the more than 21,000 hours of community service performed by Hendricken students each year.  On this page, we will highlight the service work of one of our students.  Please check back frequently for the stories of more Service Stars!

Service Star: Cooper Dean ’20

Freshman Cooper Dean loves soccer and recently won Soccer Rhode Island’s 2016 Youth Volunteer of the Year Award given by the West Warwick Soccer Association. Cooper won the award for coaching 3-4 year olds in a youth soccer new beginning program in West Warwick, this past fall. The award ceremony was held in March as part of Soccer Rhode Island’s 2017 Hall of Fame & Awards Banquet at the Elks Lodge in West Warwick.

His supervisor, librarian Rebekah Hamilton, describes Lucas in glowing terms as “enthusiastic, respectful and unfailingly reliable.
