Description: Bishop Hendricken's Archery club is a registered member of the Junior
Olympic Archery Development Program (JOAD) which is affiliated with the
USA Archery Association. This is a winter club activity that begins in
November and finishes at the end of February. Archers have the
opportunity to learn more about the sport with archery instruction
meetings held once a week at Hendricken and additional team practices
held offsite at a local archery lane. Archery is open to all students.
Club
members will qualify to shoot at USA Archery sanctioned tournaments as
well as competing against other JOAD teams in New England.

Description: Students play in a freshman/sophomore division or a junior/senior
division and use a pick-up format. The league schedule runs for eight
weeks from October through November. All students are welcome to play.

Description:
Students meet at Bo’s Billiards in Warwick from October through March
to learn billiards' many games and compete against one another in
singles and doubles competition. Intramural league play is monitored
and recorded each week.

Description: Intramural Bocce takes place during the spring months of April and May
outside on the Bishop Hendricken campus after school. Matches are
announced in advance and are open to all students. Students need not
have background knowledge of the game, just a willingness to play and
have fun!

Description: Intramural
Bowling invites all students to play each week from January through
March. Action takes place across the street from campus at Meadowbrook
Lanes. Not your traditional bowling, students engage in duckpin play
with prizes for top average and top score each week. There is a minimal
fee that covers the cost of play and shoe rentals.

Description: The fishing club is open to all students regardless of experience.
Students need not own fishing reels as they are provided by the club.
Students meet regularly to discuss the latest trends in fishing and
potential locations for trips around the state. Both fresh and salt
water fishing is explored. The club commences in October and runs
through May weather permitting.

Description: Students
of any and all skill levels participate in nine holes of supervised
golf in both the fall (one afternoon per week in month of October) and
the spring (one day per week in the month of May). All participants are
required to provide their own golf equipment (golf clubs, golf balls,
and golf shoes) as well as their own transportation to and from the golf
course. Student cost is $10.00 per round, tee off time is between
3:00pm and 3:30pm and all rounds of golf are played at Harbor Lights
Country Club located off of Warwick Neck Rd. in Warwick, RI. The golf
course is less than five minutes from Hendricken’s campus. Rules and
etiquette of the game are explained and expected to be followed.

Description: This club offers the opportunity to hike on local Rhode Island trails
as well as popular trails in New Hampshire. There are also overnight
camping trips to New Hampshire. The following equipment is required:
hiking boots, tent, sleeping bags, drinking water and food, appropriate
clothing, and money for the trips. The club meets throughout the
school year, as well as during the summer. There are weekend day trips
and full weekend trips. Membership is open to all students.

Description: The
Ski Club has 2 ski trips per year. One trip travels to Sunday River in
Maine and the second trip is to Jay Peak in Vermont. Both trips are
weekend trips – Friday afternoon through Sunday. Membership is open to
all students.

Description: The
Club is open to beginner and experienced surfers. It includes surfing
from long boards, short boards, boogie boards, knee boards, and skim
boards (no windsurfers). The club member is opened to a lifetime of
healthy recreational activities that surfing provides. Membership also
brings discounts on purchases at the Gansett Juice Surf Shop in
Narragansett, RI. Membership is open to all students.

Description:
Students play in the fall on our very own state of the art tennis
courts. All levels of ability and experience are welcome. Play begins
in September and culminates in early November. Both singles and doubles
matches are played.
