WARWICK, RI (March 10, 2021) – Today, Bishop Hendricken High School shares funeral arrangements for Mr. Thomas Gambardella ’76, P’03, ’04, ’09 on behalf of the Gambardella family.
Mr. G’s funeral Mass will take place on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 11am at St. Kevin Church in Warwick, Rhode Island. The Mass will be streamed live at www.stkevin-stbenedict.org. There will be no calling hours and burial will be private. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, capacity at St. Kevin’s will be largely limited to the Gambardella family and friends.
All classes at Bishop Hendricken are cancelled on Friday, March 12th.
Faculty & Staff
Faculty and staff will receive attendance information from the Principal’s Office.
Alumni & Friends of Bishop Hendricken
There will be limited seating available for alumni and friends of Bishop Hendricken on a first come, first served basis. Staff from Bishop Hendricken will be on hand to manage capacity. Alumni and friend overflow will be directed to view the Mass live on Bishop Hendricken’s campus in one of two locations: the Dr. Daniel S. Harrop Theater or McNally Gymnasium. In all locations, COVID-19 protocols will be in place, including mask-wearing and social distancing. If you have any 1 symptom or are not feeling well, you must stay home.
Students
Students are invited to form an honor guard for Mr. G’s funeral procession starting on the St. Kevin Church lawn and extending down Sandy Lane. Students should be in shirt and tie, and are encouraged to wear green and gold in honor of Mr. G. Students should park and meet at Bishop Hendricken at 10:30am and walk to St. Kevin Church via Ticonderoga Drive to Hague Road. Staff from Bishop Hendricken will be on hand to help direct students. Following the procession, students are invited to join the overflow crowd at Bishop Hendricken to view the Mass.
