What is your LEGACY?

As alumni, current parents, parents of alumni and friends of Bishop Hendricken high school, you all play key roles in advancing the Mission of our school. Our mission is simple, to strengthen the relationship of all members of the community with our God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We do this through the development of the total person: heart, mind, soul, and body.

Even though we are a relatively young school of 50 years, we are all called to help and serve others. Your time, talent, and treasure are some of the ways that you have shown your love for Bishop Hendricken High School and its Mission throughout the years.

The value of a Hendricken education has increased exponentially over the years, but so has the cost. That is why we must rely on YOU, our family, to help us sustain our reputation as the finest Catholic, all-male, college preparatory school in New England.

Making a Planned Gift is a unique way for you to make a meaningful gift to Bishop Hendricken that will benefit both the school and the donor. We ask that you prayerfully consider including Hendricken in planning your family’s financial future with a LEGACY GIFT today.

Legacy Gifts

Please review the following ways to establish your Legacy today!

Bequests: This gift is a special remembrance of Hendricken in your will. In addition to the special assistance given to Hendricken, this generous gift usually results in a significant estate tax savings. Charitable bequests are easy to make. There are no minimum dollar requirements or complex rules to understand. Please help us honor your wishes by using the following language in your will:

“I give, devise and bequeath to Bishop Hendricken High School, located at 2615 Warwick Avenue in Warwick, RI 02889, $_________ for its general purposes (or list specific property or a percentage of the estate).”

Charitable Remainder Trust: This deferred gift usually has special benefit to you as well as Hendricken. A gift of appreciated property can be the means for significant tax savings, an attractive annuity and an impressive “tax free” legacy to your family.

The Legacy Society: Those who support Hendricken through their estate planning will be acknowledged as members of the Legacy Society. With your permission, we will acknowledge your support by listing your name in our publications and extending an invitation to special leadership donor events. The amount of your gift will not be publically disclosed.
